Empowering Coastal Communities Through Unity

Homabay Beach Management Union (BMU) was established in 2015 with a bold vision: to transform the fragmented fishing communities of Homabay County into a unified, powerful force for sustainable development and economic prosperity.

What started as a collective of 5 beach management units has grown into a thriving union of 15 BMUs, representing over 5,000 active fishermen and their families. Our union serves as a bridge between local fishing communities and international markets, ensuring fair trade practices, environmental conservation, and inclusive growth.
